About the job

The EU Treasury Operations Manager is responsible for providing a seamless service across all Business Units for the Owens Corning’s European entities, including Composites, Foamglas and Paroc. He/She ensures effective tools and processes are in place to provide financial services such as global disbursements, reporting, monthly closings, cash and risk management, in accordance with European and Global Policies.

The role requires coordination and communicating across all back-office finance functions (shared service center, tax, accounting, credit, internal controls), but also with legal, sourcing and HR.

The candidate will manage a team of 6 finance professionals located in 3 offices, and will report into the EU Treasury & Credit Leader.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads and Develops Talent
  • Is fully engaged in personal learning and development as a major engine for personal growth and success of the company
  • Invests in the growth and development of their direct reports and other identified talent within their organization
  • Creates an environment where talent is developed through effective performance management and talent evaluation

  • Daily Cash Management
  • Oversees and further develops Cashpool structures
  • Ensures adequate liquidity at EU level while maximizing cash availability at corporate level
  • Implements efficient cash management processes
  • Monitors cash forecasting reports (daily, weekly, monthly)
  • Trades FX Swaps for liquidity purpose

  • Process improvement/projects:
  • Constantly works on reviewing existing processes to optimize efficiency and controls
  • Partners with external vendors, financial institutions & Shared Services with the goal of achieving higher efficiency at lowest possible cost
  • Optimizes system-use and develop in-house IT knowledge
  • Proactively participates in and lead projects reaching beyond the scope of the Treasury organization

  • Currency exposure hedging for European + Russian entities
  • Monitors the hedging performed by corporate treasury
  • Hedges exposure arising from Russian entities
  • Monitors and reports FX P&L (EU consolidated)
  • Is compliant with EMIR framework (reporting and reconciliation)

  • Various requirements
  • Supports structured transactions (acquisitions, dividends, mergers, …)
  • Manages portfolio of bank guarantees
  • Monitors portfolio of ICO loans & Deposits (postings, revals, interests)
  • Supports requests from external and internal auditors

Job Requirements

Experience:

  • Master degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in corporate treasury in multinational environment, possibly combined with experience at banks or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in managing teams, including remote locations
  • Desired SAP experience

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Treasury front-office and/or back-office expertise
  • Ability to coach, develop and motivate talent, on site and remotely
  • Excellent planning and organization skills
  • Maintain and develop effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Efficiently manage team priorities in a rapidly and constantly changing environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

  • Fluent in English is required
