Description:

Developing a deep customer knowledge and leveraging digital solutions (statistical forecast), the European Composites S&OP & Demand Analyst is responsible to elaborate Demand Plans feeding the S&OP process. Working closely with the S&OP Leader and regional planners, she/he provides in-depth analysis supporting decisions to meet at best Company objectives (EBIT, cashflow & service).

Reporting to the S&OP & Demand Planning Leader, the S&OP and Demand Analyst has strong connections with the business community, regional planners and Global Supply Chain Analytics CoE.

Responsibilities:

  1. Demand Planning
  • Monitors sales deviations against forecasts and learn from the past to improve statistical models driving forecasts accuracy improvement

  • Generates a 12-18 mths rolling statistical forecast and integrate Market Intelligence information to drive discussion with the commercial organization and challenge sales forecasts to define a Demand Plan by PH1 feeding the S&OP process

  1. Supply Chain analytics
  • Prepare, analyze and propose recommendations on key metrics/reports feeding planning processes (S&OP/S&OE)
    • Conformance to plans (production, sales, inventories plan adherence)
    • Conformance to allocation plans during controlled availability periods
    • Forecasts accuracy
    • Service level
    • Inventory Quality Management including Slow Movings (SMOI) and blocked stocks

  • Ensure continuous improvement on business related issues and lead problems resolution projects

  1. Systems & Tools
  • Is the super-user for Arkieva DP & RCCP for Europe Composites and has the responsibility to maintain master data and clean the system as required

  • Is the key point of contact for system upgrades/improvements

  1.  Supply Chain analytics maturity
  • Leveraging Analytics CoE and getting outside-in perspective, grow the analytics maturity from descriptive to predictive to prescriptive

  • Participate to best practice sharing across the network

  1. Leading the Company

Be a resource to add value through activities outside normal planning function.

    • participate in formal and ad hoc teams to support the growth and profitability goals of Owens Corning 
    • learn and share through Kaizen events or focus groups where appropriate
    • look for and eliminate waste
    • be a supporter of the corporate safety goals staying aware of possible safety concerns at work, at home and when traveling

Job Requirements

Experience:

  • Post graduate in business or supply chain management with a first work experience in Supply Chain Management or related field is required
  • Fluent in English

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated effective communication skills
  • Problem solving and decision making through analytics and data
  • Demonstrated planning and organizational ability relative to strategy attainment through focus on customer needs
