YOUR PURPOSE

The Sr HR Lead Commercial acts as a Business Partner to key Commercial Leaders in the European Foamglas Leadership team, and is accountable for all matters related to human capital while sharing in the overall responsibility for the delivery of business objectives and goals.

Scope of responsibility :

  • Foamglas Europe (Building and Industry Business)
  • Key Leaders: Sales Leader DACH, Sales Leader Growth, Sales Leader Industry, Products&Systems Leader
  • Other Leaders: Country Sales Leaders, liaison to EU INS leaders in Marketing, Customer Service a.o.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy development and execution

  • Contribute to the development of the business goals and strategy as an actively participating member of the business leadership teams.
  • Build an HR strategy that supports achievement of strategic business objectives with focus on Commercial Excellence and translate the HR strategy into concrete actions plan, to ensure the right people and organization decisions, and appropriate communication and implementation.
  • Understand drivers of change for the business and facilitate design of systems and policies for managing human capital before, during & after the change. Facilitate the creation of the right organizational and team culture and environment, and an exciting place to work.
  • Lead organization design efforts by defining principles for the creation of new jobs, organizational structures and changes of the organizational structures, to achieve Sales Capability building.
  • Utilize Owens Corning and industry best practices associated with talent management: talent & performance management, talent acquisition and onboarding, succession planning, retention, talent development, coaching of leaders and teams,  and people mobility across business groups;
  • Contribute to ensuring that effective reward systems are in place to attract, retain, motivate employees and to ensure they operate effectively and are aligned to the business objectives
  • Actively participates in regional, European or Global projects with people or organizational impact on Foamglas’ commercial activities. Actively liaises with HR/Business colleagues in Commercial area within the broader OC business.

Management of HR Operations

  • Develop strong relationships and credibility and operates as a trusted advisor and business partner to the senior business leaders, NLT members, people leaders and (as applicable) employees and representatives.
  • Ensure Strategic Workforce Planning is in place to achieve Sales Productivity goals, Strategic Resource Allocation and Sales Capability building.
  • Ensure prompt and consistent solutions to unforeseen yet urgent developments related to human resources topics. Anticipate and respond properly to manager, employee, organization needs.
  • Collaborate with the broader HR Organization, to ensure HR programs and processes are in place, communicated and aligned with business objectives, and available for implementation. Coordinate individual Case Management in the areas of Conflict, Conduct, Performance, ….
  • Facilitates the assessment of individual employee capabilities through talent reviews, interviews and assessment tools and provides,  with confidence and candor,  developmental coaching and action planning

YOUR PROFILE:

Experience:

  • Designing organizations aligned with business strategy to accomplish results.
  • Leading results effectively/collaboratively through others (especially those who do not report directly).
  • Being part of creating or accelerating a high performance organization/function within a large-scale business.
  • Developing and implementing strategy for a commercial human resources function. Assessing the environment and successfully identifying opportunities and closing gaps to accelerate business performance.
  • Attracting, developing and retaining outstanding talent which represents the available talent pool; developing, growing and retaining talent.
  • Has understanding and experience in incentive process, design and implementation.
  • Operating across geographic boundaries and cultures.
  • Experienced in massively changing environment (with multi-facetted change management, M&A, …).
  • Master’s degree in business, human resources or a related field preferred. Fluent in English, Dutch/German real assets, French ideally.

  • Excellent communication – written and oral – including presentation and influencing skills
  • Customer Orientation: Strong customer-focused inclination and Strong sense of ownership.
  • Sound analytical skills with a Bias for Action – creative, analytical, can synthesize data and multiple points of view to solutions quickly. Ability to drive to conclusions by getting alignment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Business Results Oriented/Bias for Action: Highly self motivated, energetic and results driven
  • Able to work in ambiguous situations and bring solutions
  • Conducts himself/herself with the highest ethical and moral standards
  • Project Management and Priority Management: able to coordinate and deliver multiple activities in parallel
  • Willingness and potential to grow to broader HR roles (=hire for potential)
