We are looking for a Standards and Regulatory Affairs Manager for Insulation Europe. The role is a part of Strategic Marketing function. This position is full-time and preferably in Helsinki Finland. The person will represent and have a voice in the various relevant Standardization and Regulatory Platforms within Europe focusing on PAROC products.

The person will create organic growth by gathering and analyzing the relevant information, refining that into company positions jointly with the internal networks and to oversee that these are incorporated to relevant business strategies and action plans.  The incumbent will be a recognized and respected leader that demonstrates Owens Corning’s (OC) values and a commitment to high performance. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

•Minimum five years of building industry regulatory affairs, preferably from insulation business

•University degree in a relevant discipline, preferably in building engineering

•Credibility

•Demonstrated deep standardization routes understanding (CEN, ISO)

•Demonstrated process focused, systematic and organized work style

•Influencing and leading in a highly-matrixed structure across functional, business, geographic and cultural boundaries

•Willingness to travel 20-30%

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

•Experience in Standardization and Regulatory Affairs (preferably Insulation).

•Existing network

•Experience with cross-functional teams.  Aptitude to build strategic and execution-focused plans and alliances with partner leadership

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

•Ability to Influence and Lead – Must be able to exert influence and leadership across the organization while holding little formal authority.

•Previous, demonstrated, direct and indirect people leadership experiences preferred

•Deep knowledge and learning willingness on building physics, sustainability, health and safety

•Knowledge about other insulation materials and building materials and their product testing and certifications is a benefit

•Large scale fire behavior and testing knowledge is a benefit

•Understanding of legislative frame works and EU decision making process

•Ability to identify the essence from the large material flow

•Strong networking skills

•Able to prioritize tasks according the existing Paroc strategies

•Planning/Organizing: Can focus on key business priorities and translate this focus into productive results by clarifying goals and roles of the team and individuals that will work on the project. Track record of successful project management and productive use of the available resources.

•Communication: Clearly and concisely conveys information, both written and verbal. Shares information, perspective and ideas openly with all levels of the organization, without invitation, and early enough to avoid crises.

•Technical: Able to understand technology and industry applications and how to apply it effectively to meet customer needs in a business context

•Influence in strategy building

•Influencing and presentation skills in both physical and virtual environment

•Excellent reporting and precise communication skills

•English at high level; Finnish, Swedish, German, French, and other languages seen as clear benefit
