Production Technician

The Production Technician (Downline) is responsible for running downstream and packaging equipment, perform quality checks, and finish line processes.
The role is accountable for meeting product and packaging quality metrics.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Live the Safety stand, adhere to the safety responsibilities
- Comply with all plant rules including safety regulations.
- Maintain 5S standards and good housekeeping of work areas and plant.
- During upset conditions, assist the Extruder Technicians in re-stringing the product through the line.
- Seek out safety improvement opportunities in all areas of the plant.
- Actively participate in and follow requirements for Process Safety Management (PSM).
Drive Manufacturing Productivity
- Operate and attend downline processing and packaging machinery.
- Resolve machine issues trough root-cause analysis and troubleshooting skills.
- Lift and stack product during packaging equipment down periods.
- Reprocess material where applicable.
- Drive production to ensure process and quality targets are met daily.
Support the Gresham Culture Work Model
- Ability to achieve results in a team atmosphere
- Contribute to the success and growth of the plant through ingenuity, creativity and integrity.
- Proven success in working under minimal supervision.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years in continuous/high speed manufacturing
- Experience Driving Fork Truck
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Able to read, write, and speak English
- Able to understand verbal and written instructions
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Work well in a team environment
- Ability to do basic mathematical calculations
- Operate a computer or other keyboard instrument
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee should possess the ability to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time during 12-hour shifts
- Work in high and low temperatures
- Repeatedly bend and twist to lift bundles of product
- Lift up to 50 pounds
