Job ID 60377SUMMARY
Under the direction of qualified electrician, perform electrical, mechanical, sheet metal, welding and pipefitting duties which involve replacing, repairing, and cleaning equipment and/or component parts.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs all functions of the job in a safe manner and promptly reports any unsafe behaviors to the shift supervisor.
- Replace or repair equipment and/or component parts as required.
- Inspect the equipment to determine condition and state of repair.
- Under the direction of qualified Electrician perform electrical maintenance including:
- Electrical systems analysis - checks for shorts, faulty equipment, etc., then perform complete repairs as necessary.
- Replacement of defective wiring.
- Installation and/or repairs of minor electrical components which include motors, receptacles, etc.
- Reading and analyzing electrical diagrams or schematic drawings and make needed repairs.
- Must be proficient in all machine shop equipment, hand tools, power tools and precision instruments.
- Performs regular fire and safety inspections and issues reports.
- Participates in the safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the plant.
- Performs other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by the supervisor.

The employee should hold the following abilities:
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions
- Must possess strong communication and organizational skills
- Must have the ability to multi-task
- Must have strong internal and external customer service skills
- Must work well in team environment
- Must have the ability to do basic mathematical calculations
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of minimal industrial maintenance.
- Must be available for off shift call duty on a scheduled basis.
- Must be certifiable within 90-day probationary period.
- Must be willing and able to train others on advanced craft or controls related skills.
- Must learn new controls technologies and systems as required through out plant.
- Must pass the written and practical test in electrical, mechanical, machine shop, and welding.
- Must attend internal and external training school
- Must have a good attendance and performance record
COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE COMPENTENCIES
The employee must be able to:
- Log on to company computer system
- Check, create and reply to email
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
The employee should have the following:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years industrial electrician experience
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee should possess the ability to:
- Must be qualifiable for respirator use
- Work for 12 hours in extreme hot/cold manufacturing environment
- Walk/stand continuously for up to 12 hours
- Ability to safely bend, twist, and squat
- Routinely ascend and descend stairs and ladders as work area requires
- Adapt to rotating shift work
- Pass pre-employment drug screening, background check, and health screen
