SUMMARY
Develops skills and knowledge of the Converter Operator classification. Participates in formal and informal training situations related to the Converter Operator classification. Performs work of the Converter Operator classification independently to the extent of developed skills.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs work of the Converter Operator classification to the extent of developed skills.
- Fulfills requirements of the department programs to the degree required of the Converter Operator classification.
- Follows directions of supervisory personnel as required in the performance of the job.
- Participates in the safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the plant.
- Performs other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by the supervisors/management.
- Responsible for knowledge and ability to perform work for plant blending operations.
- Work closely with operators and maintenance in troubleshooting process problems.
- Tank Gauging knowledge and ability.
- Responsible for material processed or shipped to be sure it is in specification according to quality control instructions.
- Know and follow all plant environmental control policies and procedures.
- Meet team expectation such as reliability, teamwork, and process improvement. Maintain and improve productivity, quality, and safety.
- Safely operate all associated equipment.
- Responsible for Knowledgeable of all Fire Watch duties and the ability to perform as Fire Watch.
- Perform basic QC Functions.
- Load/Unload Asphalt Trucks and Rail Cars at all loading racks and unloading area’s in the plant.

- Must be able to learn the responsibilities of the position
COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE COMPENTENCIES
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work for up to 12 hours in extreme hold/cold manufacturing environment
- Walk/Stand on concrete floors continuously for up to 12 hours
- Sit and/or drive forklift for 12 hours.
- Routinely ascend and descend stairs and ladders as work area requires
- Safeguard self with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – steel toed shoes, ear plugs, eye protection, hard hat, cut resistant gloves (glasses, goggles, and/or facemask), aprons, face shields, pouring gloves as necessary for task.
