The Furnace Development Program is designed to prepare engineers to serve as Furnace Leaders in Owens Corning manufacturing plants in our Insulating Systems Business and Composites Solutions Business. Participants will complete two years, with half of the time spent at the Owens Corning’s Science & Technology Center and half at an Owens Corning manufacturing plant. During this time, participants will be mentored by seasoned technical professionals and will be challenged by the varied technical and leadership opportunities found in a manufacturing environment.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Ceramics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or an equivalent field from an accredited school
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Previous relevant internships/co-ops in a manufacturing setting
- Demonstrated leadership in professional, service, or social organizations
- Willingness and flexibility to relocate
LOCATION OF ASSIGNMENTS:
Participants are based at various manufacturing sites in the US, including: Granville, OH (Science & Technology Center), Jackson, TN, Starr, SC.
